Welcome to the South Irvine Baptist Church.

In a day when religious and moral confusion abounds, we believe the South Irvine Baptist church has been purposed of God to stand as a lighthouse to those caught up in the storms and darkness of this life.  The safe haven we offer to all who would see our light is Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. (Matt 5:14-16; John 14:6)

We Are a Christ Centered Church

While there are many voices crying out in society today and proclaiming to have all the answers to man’s greatest needs and wants, we offer a radical and refreshing alternative.  That being, that our life and living is not so much about ‘us’ as it is about ‘Him.’

We believe and teach as God has revealed.  Life and living is really all about Jesus; by faith knowing, trusting, loving, and living for Him.  That He (Jesus) might receive all the glory in and from our lives. This is always what is best and brings the blessings of God upon one’s life. (Col. 1:16-18)

We are a Bible-Based Church

With so many looking in so many places today for the answers to life’s greatest concerns (marriage, family, peace, happiness and security), we still believe and know that the answers to man’s greatest needs are only to be found where God has provided them, in His Word, The Bible.

We, therefore, strive to preach and teach God’s Word in a manner that is both understandable and helpful to those who desire to hear and heed God’s answers to their needs. (II Tim. 3:13-4:2)

We are a Church on a Mission!

There are various ideas today, not only of what a church is, but what a church is to be doing in its ministry.

We believe the Lord’s kind of church is composed of saved and scripturally baptized folks, who have been purposed by God to covenant and assemble together to fulfill the mission He has given them as one of His churches.

What is His mission for us as His church?  (Matt 28:19-20.)  First and foremost, to preach the Gospel.  This we do in our church, community, into the mountains of Eastern Kentucky, and even unto the uttermost parts of the earth through the various missionaries we support. (Mk. 16:15)

Although we provide various ministries and opportunities to serve, such as Sunday School, Children’s Church, Children and Adult choirs, Youth activities, V.B.S., and various others, we always strive to keep the main thing the main thing, and that is to remember our mission: 

1. To exalt and glorify our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!

2. To preach, teach and practice His Word, The Bible!

3. To be always going with the Gospel, His good news, to a lost and dying world!
